Ground up custom home construction in Flagstaff, with San Francisco Peaks views, a large patio, and an attached ADU.
The Kelsey Springs property came with an open lot and a view of the San Francisco Peaks worth building around. A custom home here needed to make the most of that setting, with real outdoor living space and the flexibility of an attached ADU, all without losing sight of budget and timeline through a ground up build.
We managed the project from permits through final walkthrough as a single point of contact, the same as we do with any project, just on a bigger scale. Framing went up through a full season of Flagstaff weather, from clear blue sky days to storm clouds rolling in over the peaks. The layout was planned around big sightlines: a great room with a vaulted wood ceiling and a wall of windows facing the mountains, a kitchen that opens directly into the living space, and a primary suite with its own freestanding tub and walk-in shower. Outside, we built out a large patio for evening use and an attached ADU for extra flexibility.
The finished home delivers on the lot's best feature, real, unobstructed views of the San Francisco Peaks from the main living space. The attached ADU adds flexibility the homeowners didn't have before, and the patio has become an everyday extension of the house rather than an afterthought.
