An interior remodel, a backyard pond, and a layout left ready for a future ADU, all on a property with the red rocks as a backdrop.
This homeowner had a backyard most people would kill for: a pool, mature landscaping, and a straight view of the red rocks rising up behind the property. The problem was the inside of the house didn't match it. The living room was closed off from the yard, and the layout hadn't been touched in years.
We remodeled the interior and replaced a section of wall with a large multi slide window wall, so the living room opens straight onto the backyard and the rock formation beyond it. Outside, we built a pond with walking steps and added a covered, screened patio for evening use when the desert cools off. We also left the layout prepped for a future ADU, so the homeowner has that option without redoing structural work down the line.
The living room now opens directly onto the backyard instead of being closed off from it. The pond and covered patio turned an already strong outdoor space into somewhere the homeowner actually spends time, and the ADU prep means the next phase of the property, if they choose to build it, won't require tearing back into finished work.
Tell us what you're thinking and we'll set up a time to walk the space.
